Follow our @medicalalert Instagram account, like our Instagram post referencing this contest, and most importantly leave a comment tagging someone you believe could benefit from a medical alert system!
Each comment will count as an additional entry for the contest, so if you know multiple people who could use a medical alert system in their lives please feel free to include them all.
The winner will be contacted directly by phone by the Life Assure customer support team. If permitted by the winner, Life Assure will make a post on social media to announce the winner after they have been contacted.
The draw to determine the winner will be completed in October 2025.
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, "The Promoter" refers to Life Assure whose Instagram handle is @medicalalert. The "Prize" refers to the $200 Tim Hortons gift card. The “The Entrant” refers to any individual who leaves a comment on The Promoter’s post with the intention of qualifying for The Prize.
By entering the competition you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. All entries must be received by 12:00am CST on September 30th 2025. One (1) winner in Canada will be selected at random by The Promoter on October 10th 2025 and the winner will be notified on or after this date.
The Promotor’s competitions with entry via Instagram and/or Facebook are open only to residents of Canada. One (1) winner will be chosen at random from all entrants and across all platforms.
No purchase necessary. Winners will not be required to pay to enter the competition.
Entrants must be over 21 years old on the date of their entry.
Employees of The Promoter are not eligible to enter.
Instagram, Facebook, and other Meta properties are not in any way affiliated or involved in the competition.
Multiple entries per Entrant will be accepted, provided they are not duplicate entries tagging the same Instagram user account.
Each Entrant shall enter the competition via Instagram by tagging another Instagram user account in the comments section of the specified post by @medicalalert and following this Instagram profile.
The Prize will be awarded to a randomly selected winner who has entered on Instagram, using a random number generator. The Promoter will not be held liable if the named prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled.
The Promoter will not be held liable for any failure of receipt of entries. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.
The Promoter will not be held liable if The Prize becomes unredeemable after it has been received by The Entrant. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any Prize which is lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Promoter’s liability under or in connection with the competition or these terms and conditions shall be limited to the cost price of the Prize in question.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Promoter shall not be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the competition or any Prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and the Promoter and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.
Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute The Prize for a prize of equal or higher value.
The name, address, email address and phone number of the winner must be provided to The Promoter if requested and will be shared to enable fulfilment of the Prize. Failure to provide this information may result in disqualification of the Prize, wherein a new winner will be selected following the process above.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond The Promoter’s reasonable control, the promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.
The Promoter's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
The Winner’s name and Instagram user account may be posted on the social media profiles and website of The Promoter after the winner has been selected.
Each Entrant understands and agrees to represent and warrant (i) that the entry does not and shall not infringe on any copyright, any rights of privacy or publicity, or any other right of any third party, and (ii) that you have the right to grant any and all rights and licenses granted to The Promoter herein, including but not limited to all necessary rights under copyright, free and clear of any claims or encumbrances.
Each Entrant understands and agrees to acknowledge and agree that The Promoter shall have no obligation to post, display or otherwise make publicly available any content or comment submitted by you, and may, in its sole and unfettered discretion, remove, edit, modify or delete any content or comment that you submit to The Promoter.
Each Entrant understands that any content or comment submitted to The Promoter may be available for comment, reacting, and other interaction through social media by the public, and understand that comments or reactions which you dislike or with which you disagree may be published or otherwise become associated with any content or comment you submit to The Promoter. By submitting any content or comment to The Promoter, you hereby waive any privacy expectations that you may have with respect to any such content or comment submitted by you to The Promoter.
Each Entrant agrees to hold The Promoter and its directors, officers, employees, affiliated entities, agents, contractors, insurers, advertisers, sponsors, licensees, and assignees harmless from and against, and hereby waive any right to pursue, any claims of any nature arising in connection with the inclusion in, publication via or display on any The Promoter site, or any other use authorized under these Terms, of any content or comment submitted to The Promoter by you.
Each Entrant acknowledges that any content or comment submitted shall be the property of The Promoter, and The Promoter shall have no obligation to preserve, return or otherwise make available to you or others any content or comment so submitted.
